Membership is open to all who hold a recognised accredited Reflexology Qualifications such as ITEC, VTCT, FETAC, QQI, FHT, City & Guilds
All New Applicants and Full Members renewing their membership must ensure they have the following:
* Professional Indemnity Insurance:
The current policy of the Institute is for all Full Members to obtain Professional Indemnity Insurance (PI) in order to gain new membership and renew membership. Reflexology must be named on the policy.
For new graduates some Insurance companies may require a membership number before processing the policy. Please request this by email from the IRIL Administrator at email@example.com

* Basic First Aid Certificate:
The current policy of the Institute is for all Full Members to hold current First Aid Certificate to practice as a Reflexologist. When completing a First Aid course, it must meet the following criteria:
- Company/Trainer is an accredited First Aid Provider
- First Aid Class must be in person or a live online Class
- Must include a demonstration and practical session
- Must cover the required time and be recognised and accepted by Government Recognized Body in Ireland PHECC
- First Aid Certificate is accredited by a Government Recognized Body and covers a period of 2 to 3 years

* Continuous Professional Development (CPD) :
The current policy of the Institute is for Full Members to have completed annually a minimum of 100 Continuous Professional Development (CPD), this is a requirement for renewing IRI membership.Full Members must maintain a record of all CPD undertaken in the IRI CPD Form, where feasible have a signature by the course provider/network coordinator to sign the sheet. Where this is not feasible retain a copy of the Certificate or course payment. Members are not require to send in these documents at the time of renewal, may be ask for a copy during a Membership Quality Check.
It is mandatory that a minimum of 20 CPD credits be gained from a Reflexology related activity with the remaining credits gained from a Professional or Personal Development activity. Further information and the CPD Form are available on the below:
Admission to membership is at the discretion of the IRI and membership can be declined or accepted without explanation.
