How do I become a Member?
Membership is open to Government recognised Reflexology qualifications (ITEC, VTCT, FETAC, QQI, City & Guilds):
Applications for membership will be considered from suitably qualified reflexologists who possess a Certificate of Reflexology from a school of reflexology accredited by a professional awarding body. At the moment, this is limited to courses accredited and examined under the following:

Admission to membership is at the discretion of the IRI and membership can be declined or accepted without explanation.
WE DO NOT RECOGNISE ONLINE TRAINING COURSES. We do not think it is possible to train someone unless the teacher can see what you are doing when you are touching the client. This is not possible with an online course. We do recognise online training in some aspects, such as business skills. Please be aware many online courses claim to be accredited when they are not.

* Professional Indemnity Insurance
The current policy of the Institute is for all Full Members to obtain Professional Indemnity Insurance (PI) in order to gain membership each year.
* Basic First Aid Certificate
* Continuous Professional Development (CPD)
The current policy of the Institute is for Full Members to have a minimum of 100 Continuous Professional Development (CPD) credits each year to renew.
It is mandatory that a minimum of 20 CPD credits be gained from a Reflexology related activity with the remaining credits gained from a Professional or Personal Development activity.
